EOS Defense Systems USA (EOSDS USA) has had an action-packed couple of months including participation at the US Army’s Edge 22 Demonstration, Crew Served Weapon (CSW) Industry Demonstration, Michigan Defense Exposition (MDEX), Modern Day Marine (MDM), Special Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC), and a counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) demonstration in partnership with Northrop Grumman. The fun will continue into the fall, with the Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium Collaboration Event, AUSA Warfighter Summit, Space and Missile Defense Symposium, GVSETS, AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition and several other live fire events quickly approaching.
During a recent All Hands meeting, EOSDS USA employees were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments during this busy season. Keep reading to learn more about our employees’ success and celebrate with us.
Jacob Brown, Field Service Representative, received a Silver Award for his outstanding teamwork efforts. His exceptional performance was vital in the CSW Industry Demonstration live fire execution. He, along with the team, effectively demonstrated the precision of our RWS paired with various weapons and fired from multiple platforms.
Jake operated the R600 Missile Carrier mounted on the AMPV. This was the first time that the missile carrier configuration had been demonstrated in a live fire. His system knowledge and expertise as a gunner enabled EOS to demonstrate the RWS’s superiority.
Bill Cannon, Mechanist Technician, received a Bronze Award for his exceptional level of teamwork. In the weeks leading up to MDEX, CSW, MDM, and SOFIC, Bill was able to balance and execute on a tremendous amount of work for shows, live shoots and engineering requirements.
Without Bill’s efforts, much of what we’d aimed to accomplish would have never been realized. He is a credit to not only the engineering department, but the company as a whole. EOSDS USA’s program management and field service departments can rely on Bill to operate independently without concern that a task will be accomplished.
Matt Clark, Junior Program Manager, received a Silver Award for his excellence in representing EOSDS USA at the US Army’s Edge 22 Demonstration. His participation with industry partners proved successful at recent exhibitions, and his work at the Dugway Proving Ground was no exception. His ability to lead EOS through these exercises demonstrates his valuable contributions and continued success of our team. Matt brings great energy and determination to each mission, and it’s evident in his ability to effectively work within a team or individually, regardless of the circumstances.
Matthew Dowdell, Electrical Engineer, received a Silver Award for his outstanding level of excellence in problem solving. He stepped up to take ownership of improving the functionality of the Fiber Optic Slip Assembly and the Wireless Bridge, both of which are critical to the company’s future. His willingness to take control of two major problems for the engineering group, as well as his ability to clearly communicate problems, solutions and tasking, are a major relief for the group, especially for engineering management.
Michael DuPras, Technical Support Engineer, received a Silver Award for his outstanding teamwork efforts. His participation was vital to the successful execution of the CSW Industry Demonstration. He effectively demonstrated the precision of our RWS paired with various weapons and fired from multiple platforms.
He operated the R400S mounted on a HMMWV and armed with a MK19 40mm belt-fed automatic grenade launcher. He was able to demonstrate the increased accuracy of the MK19 as a precision weapon, compared to its typical use as an area suppression weapon. Mike achieved accurate effects on targets out to 1000m, the maximum distance available on the range. The shot groups of multiple round missions were exquisitely tight and precise.
Bobby Gibson, Shipping & Receiving Manager, received a Bronze Award for his exceptional level of excellence in shipping and receiving. During the past 7-8 weeks, Bobby was instrumental with the coordination and delivery of the show equipment and vehicles. He made sure that every show had its required equipment delivered on time. Bobby’s actions provided peace of mind to the traveling team, knowing that everything they would need to be successful would arrive on time.
George Hopkins, Assembly Technician, received a Bronze Award for his exceptional level of teamwork. He has been an excellent addition to our machine shop as an apprentice to Bill Cannon. George consistently delivers tenacity and willingness in every task that he’s assigned. He is trusted to operate with minimal guidance on fabrication of parts for supporting shows, shoots and engineering needs for both production and R&D programs. His ability to shoulder excess burden is a credit to both himself and the team.
Renzelnick Mangayao, Assembly Technician, received a Bronze Award for his for his leadership skills. He leads by example, displaying selfless service to the team. His communication style has proven effective concerning every aspect of production of the R400S. As a trainer of new assembly technicians, he emphasizes the importance of following work instructions, stresses accountability and ensures buddy checks are being performed to make sure a quality product is produced.
Sonya Moreno, Executive Assistant,received a Bronze Award for her outstanding level of excellence in ensuring the executive suite is running smoothly and supporting EOS Corporate and U.S. Board events. Sonya plans, executes and manages numerous employee events. She plays a pivotal role in the morale and welfare of the employees and the perception of EOS in the community.
Presley Price, Marketing Manager, received a Bronze Award for her outstanding level of excellence in marketing. To quote her recognition submission, “For all-around marketing bad-assery!” Her skills and enthusiasm contributed to revamping EOSDS USA’s presence on social media and website, as well as on materials used at shows and events. Presley has an outstanding attitude and work ethic. As a natural planner, she brings a needed level of organization for all future marketing activities for EOS.
Tyler Thompson, Shipping & Receiving Specialist, received a Bronze Award for exceptional level of excellence. During the past 7-8 weeks of events, Tyler’s assistance in the Shipping and Receiving department ensured that every piece of equipment was accounted for and loaded safely and securely. Tyler also acted as the onsite driver coordinator, allowing Bobby to handle all paperwork needed and ensuring the safe loading of EOS equipment onto transport vehicles. Tyler’s actions ensured that all movements were done safely and that every piece of equipment used was accounted for.
Jackie Turner, Production Manager, received a Gold Award for her outstanding level of leadership. She graces the production department every day with her wisdom, spiritual values and warm qualities. Jackie exemplifies respect, safety, integrity, excellence, teamwork and leadership (all of the company’s core values). She is also described as professional, down to earth, fair and responsive to her team.
Antione Walter, Assembly Technician,received a Silver Award for his outstanding Teamwork efforts. His exceptional performance was vital at the recent CSW Industry Demonstration. He, along with the team, effectively demonstrated the precision of our RWS paired with various weapons and fired from multiple platforms.
He operated the R400S mounted on the Polaris DAGOR and armed with a Dillon M134 mini-gun. He demonstrated how our RWS transforms the M134 into a point engagement weapon capable of quickly transitioning between multiple targets. He specifically earned recognition during the nighttime live fire, paired with our major competitor by accurately firing bursts of 7.62mm ammunition at targets ranging from 400m to 1000m.
